I’ve studied jewelry making, taken metal smithing courses and have been creating wearable art for over thirty years. I believe the piece of sea glass usually dictates the artform that it will eventually find itself in and I am committed to moving the West Coast Sea Glass line into fresh, artistic directions.
I was educated in Graphics Reproduction, Photography, (among other things) and have been drawn to the visual arts and creating art with my hands. As a young adult I supported myself as a semi-professional photographer, owned my own dark room and also taught photo lab work at the college level.
I've traveled much using my camera as my window to the world, won two national photography competitions and I now use sea glass as a vibrant and colorful photo subject.
